Tampa’s award-winning Riverwalk is about to get even better. The city has officially broken ground on the West River BUILD Project, a $57 million expansion that will stretch the Riverwalk another 1.7 miles along the west side of the Hillsborough River. Funded through a mix of local, federal, and community redevelopment dollars, this six-phase project includes new walkways, biking routes, road improvements, and updated safety features for pedestrians and cyclists. Once complete, the expansion will create a full loop—linking neighborhoods and opening new opportunities for recreation, commuting, and commerce. Construction is underway now, with completion targeted for 2027. When finished, the west side of the Riverwalk will offer more waterfront experiences, expanded public access, and new opportunities for growth along one of Tampa’s most loved destinations.To see more about this exciting development, Click Here.
